Delivery and Returns

HOW TO ORDER

Ordering from Sugar Plum Tree Browse through our catalogue and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. When you have made your selection, click on “checkout” You will then be asked to provide details so that we can process the order. Orders can only be sent to the billing address of the cardholder placing an order.

DELIVERY

Whilst most items will be despatched within one working day, please allow 3 to 5 working days for delivery within the UK. 5-7 days for Europe and 7-14 days rest of World. Packaging: At Sugar Plum Tree, we want you to receive your purchase in the same great condition it left us. We use only good quality, new materials for packaging and take great care to insure that happens. We too buy online and can assure you no one takes better care of your purchases.

Deliveries to UK mainland (inc. Northern Ireland):

For UK mainland deliveries, postage will be charged at cost PLUS a small fee for packaging and handling. The postage cost per item should be shown along side the item description, if it is not, please Sugar Plum Tree for a quote. Items mailed within the UK will normally be sent first class recorded delivery and insured for £30.00. Heavier items may be sent Parcel Force 48 hour and will normally be insured for the full replacement value of the item. If a buyer requires enhanced insurance, Special Delivery or an expedited service please email the above for a quote BEFORE placing your order. Sugar Plum Tree reserves the right to replace any of the above services, without notice, for a similar or enhanced service, where we deem it to be more appropriate.

Overseas & non-mainland UK:

For overseas and non-mainland UK deliveries, postage will be charged at cost PLUS a small fee for packaging and handling. The postage cost per item should be shown along side the item description, if it is not, please email us at for a quote. Items mailed outside the UK will normally be sent Airmail and insured for £30.00. Heavier items may be sent Surface mail (if selected) and will normally be insured for £30.00. If a buyer requires enhanced insurance or an expedited service please email us for a quote BEFORE placing your order. Sugar Plum Tree reserves the right to replace any of the above services, without notice, for a similar or enhanced service, where we deem it to be more appropriate. Enhanced insurance up to a value of £200.00 starts at just £1.00 extra and is highly recommended.

Lost or damaged orders

Orders lost or damaged in the post are sent insured and Sugar Plum Tree will fill out any necessary claims forms at the post office or other carriers on your behalf. We will liaise with the appropriate Postal service to achieve a satisfactory outcome. In the event that this becomes necessary please be aware a refund will be made as soon as we have clearance from the carrier , this can take several weeks! Please note, until the loss of an order is confirmed we will not be able to issue a refund. Should you require the products urgently again, please place another order.

RETURNS

We hope that you are happy with your purchases but if you do need to exchange or return an item please send it back in its original packaging, unworn and in saleable condition, within 14 days of receipt. Please return the delivery note with the item and state the reason for the return. We will make a refund, provided the goods are returned in unworn and in saleable condition. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for returns which are lost or damaged in the post so please obtain a free proof of postage from the post office which will serve as your security in case this happens. Please allow 14 days for us to process your returns. Credit card refunds will appear on your next bank or credit card statement. Please note that delivery charges (where applicable) and returns postage are direct costs and we regret that we cannot refund these. If you make use of our free postage offer please note in case of return a small charge of £2.50 per order will be applied to cover our administration and return costs. Exchanges are processed with 24 hours and replacements should be with you in about 5 days but we recommend that you place a new order and return the item for refund if you are in a hurry. We will not charge for delivery on exchange orders for customers in the UK or Ireland. Any items damaged in transit must be reported within 2 days of receipt so please check your delivery on arrival. Furniture deliveries must be checked immediately and damages to packaging reported to the delivery driver.
