Powell Craft was established in Cornwall, England in 1962 by William and Veronica Powell and for many happy years the family traded selling high-end homeware and gifts.
In 1980 Powell Craft changed its business direction into Victorian-inspired lace and linen products, ladies nightdresses, patchwork ,children's wear and nursery ranges . All the products were quintessentially English designs made from 100% cotton.
In keeping with the traditional handmade ranges for which Powell Craft has become renowned, it continues to this day to offer beautiful Victorian-inspired products made using natural materials, cotton ladies and children’s nightwear, fine porcelain, hand stitched needlepoint, scented English lavenders, hand quilted patchwork, linens and lace.
After 30 years of selling nursery nightwear, bedding and accessories Powell Craft increased its product range with hand-embroidered and smocked girls dresses, pyjamas , and nightdresses, retro and vintage print clothing , bedding and homeware. The company also produces boys pyjamas, baby jumpsuits, pram blankets and beautiful hand knits.
Powell Craft has always practised fair trade and also supports various children’s charities both at home and abroad, notably the children’s hospice in Cornwall and the mobile crèches of northern India.
